Vodafone - Wimbledon Takeover
British summertime is synonymous with several things, but none more than strawberries, picnics... and Wimbledon!
The oldest tennis tournament in the world, Wimbledon's partner, Vodafone, briefed us with crafting an ad campaign around a CG avatar of 19-year-old tennis star, Emma Raducanu on the Piccadilly Lights. Displayed during the championships in summer 2022, the advertisement was the first ever motion-capture avatar to appear solo on the world famous OOH site.
Using Cinema 4D and Ocean Outdoor's DeepScreen™ template, we crafted and created the environment, phone and tennis ball. We then composited the realistic Emma avatar, created by Berlin-based 3D character studio, Mimic Productions, allowing for a very lifelike extension into Piccadilly Circus that interacts with passersby. It was great watching the general public stop to take some selfies of their own.
