Evolus - Manifesto

Evolus are a performance beauty company with evolvement at the heart of their messaging. Their motif, the humble butterfly, is the perfect visual metaphor for this, and for their recent brand film, we reimagined this beautiful winged creature via a plethora of 2D and 3D designs in a combined mixed media approach.

Sometimes hyperreal, sometimes stylised, each team member in our studio brought their own unique aesthetic, working within their chosen software, incl. Cinema 4D, After Effects and Photoshop, until we had an eclectic bank of over 40 animated butterflies against paradoxical backgrounds. A true mixed media feast for the eyes. The variations were then edited together in-house to reveal a chaotic, vibrant and beautiful 60" film which perfectly embodies the Evolus brand.

We closely collaborated with The Cafe Agency to bring this beautifully diverse piece to life.
